We will be attending the ‘Fit for the Future’ event held by the Sport and Recreation Alliance in Loughborough on Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd January 2019.

In an effort to raise awareness of IT security issues, and the threat of phishing emails during the event, we will be holding a prize draw to win a Microsoft Surface Go tablet. To enter, visitors will take part in a short quiz on identifying and handling phishing emails, and the prize draw will take place at the end of the Convention.

This year, the event will be focused around “behaviour change”. In the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s own words, the aim of the programme is to examine “the change needed in your organisations, so you can operate differently and how you can influence more people to be more active, more often.”

Microtrading is a longstanding Sport and Recreation Alliance partner and the leading IT support and IT security service provider to the UK’s sport and recreation sector. We support the IT infrastructure of many National Governing Bodies (NGB) across the country, implementing cloud-based solutions and improving IT security.

Andrew Penlington, Director of Microtrading, said: “We’re excited to, once again, be attending this year’s event organised by the Sport and Recreation Alliance. With ‘change’ being the central theme this year, we think members will benefit greatly from considering the direction of their IT in 2019.

“Cloud computing has been a revelation for many of our sport industry clients. Cloud-based products and services are ideal for the operational structure of an NGB. It provides the flexibility and reliability they require to interact effectively with clubs and members, nationwide, and makes it easier to manage and organise staff.

“I would highly recommend to visitors that they come and say hello to us whilst they are at the convention, not least for the opportunity to win a Microsoft Surface Go tablet and to learn how to spot a malicious email. We’ll be on hand to discuss a wide range of issues, including cybersecurity, cloud computing, managed IT support, Microsoft Office 365 and plenty more besides.”

For more information, come and visit the Microtrading stand in the partner exhibition area during one of the breaks or networking sessions. We’d love to hear about the challenges your organisation faces when it comes to IT – we might even be able to help!
